Upon arrival at Kigali international airport and welcomed by your driver and transfer you to the booked accommodation, in Kigali for dinner and later overnight stay. If time permits, you can head for Kigali city tour, with a visit to Kigali genocide memorial, local market and craft shops.

Accommodation: Ubumwe Grand Hotel (Mid-range Hotel)

You will be met by your driver guide at 4:30 am, at your hotel in Kigali, early morning, and transfer to Musazne, which is roughly 2 hour’s drive away from Kigali to the park headquarters, for briefing then prepare for the gorilla trekking briefing from the park headquarters and thereafter, you will enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life as you take pictures. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun screen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movements of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer back to Kigali and transferred at your hotel in Kigali at Ubumwe Grand Hotel. Meal Plan: Full board

On your safari day, you guide will meet you at your hotel in Kigali at 5:30 am, share a short briefing before you drive off to Akagera national park, which is located 2 hours away, close to the Tanzania border in the Easter side of the country. You will have a great en route drive, with stopovers along the way. By early 8am, you will be at the park gate, register and kick off, your game drive hunt, in search for the wildlife such as buffaloes, impalas, elephants, zebras, giraffes and much more. You drive will stretch to the northern side of the park, where much concentration of wildlife is sighted. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the course of the say, as you proceed with the game drive. As time pas by, at around evening ours, you will exit the park in the northern gate, and drive back to Kigali, reaching in the evening, and dropped at your hotel or Kigali airport for your flight.
